The popular German car brand AUDI has been known all over the world for about a century. Audi AG was born in 1910 in Zwickau by engineer and entrepreneur August Horch, and in 1932 the company became part of the newly formed Auto Union concern. After the war, the company actually ceased to exist, and in 1949 Auto Union resumed its work, already in the city of Ingolstadt, but it produced only DKW cars. Over time, Daimler-Benz became the owner of Auto Union, and by 1966, control over it passed to Volkswagen, which decided to revive the Audi brand. It is part of the VAG concern.
